For Matt:
-Cookware might not fit in with Umbra's line. The class really liked the collapsible mechanism and concept. Is there another way to adapt the concept?
-Could we also adapt the Desk pod for things other than trash?
For the other concepts, the class thought they were a bit too close to what Umbra already does, although they are good ideas.
For PhilaU:
We didn't get much attention but so far our areas of interest are:
-Movie night caddy - can we make it fit Umbra?
-Slinky dish rack - can we address utensils or cups, etc?
-Jaws holder - can we make it fit Umbra?
We also need to try and come up with new concepts because we didn't really "fall in love" with one. We want to focus on element of surprise when presented our products.
For next class, we have to each do 2 sketches of iterations from our group. For example, I could develop one sketch of your Desk pod and one of Galen's movie night caddy. You're welcome to post and we will be able to give you our professors feedback again!
